Coworking, Community, and Child Space All Under One Roof
The Aspen House is your home away from home. A place where you can work, rest, take care of your children, recreate, and refresh. Our center is small but mighty, and our memberships are specifically geared to provide a place to co-care all of us.
Our 2025 Waitlist is now open. You can pre-register by filling out the form on the home page.
Membership rates for 2025 are $250 per household per month and includes up to two adults and their children.
Memberships include:
Unlimited access to first come, first serve coworking space in our center during open hours and the option to reserve a private room.
Ability to schedule recurring, flexible, and hourly child watch.
Communal kitchen space with coffee, tea, water, and an assortment of beverages
Private quiet room for breastfeeding, pumping, or bottle feeding
Classes, events, and practitioner hours held on-site

Children’s Space
Child watch is available to all of our members.
We offer:
Recurring: Upon registration, you may indicate if you’d like a weekly guaranteed childcare spot, for example Mondays and Wednesdays.
Flexible: There is no formal enrollment after you register, and we offer 2 hour (10 AM to 12 PM), 4 hour (10 AM to 2 PM) and all day (10 AM to 4 PM) scheduling options
Hourly: Book for as little as 2 hours per day or 6.
Drop In: We offer same day scheduling if availability allows, simply give us a call and we’ll let you know if we can accommodate. We always have additional room for emergencies and the unexpected. Please know we are only a call away if you are experiencing a physical or mental health crisis, if another caregiver fell through, or any emergency requiring somewhere safe for your children. We’re here for you.

$16 per hour for first child
$14 per hour for any additional children
Guidelines for Child Watch
Only families with active memberships may book childcare
Legal guardians are responsible for completing the initial waiver and registration PRIOR to the first drop-in.
Child watch is recommended for children between the ages 6 weeks to 4 years old.
Children can be dropped off no more than 5 minutes before their scheduled care starts.
Please pick up your child no later than 5 minutes after their scheduled child care ends.
Children will be released ONLY to the person who dropped them off.
We ask all children to take their shoes off before entering the childcare room. Socks must be worn.
Water is encouraged in a sealed container that does not leak and is labeled with a first and last name. We will provide labels if you do not have one.
We will provide two snacks daily to children at 10:30 AM and 2 PM. Snacks are nut free. If your child has any additional allergies or food preferences please send them with a single serving snack for any applicable times they will be in care.
We ask that you do a wellness check before registering for childcare. Any kiddos with cold, allergy, congestion, cough, or runny nose symptoms are asked to stay home until they are better. During flu season (October to April) we require daily forehead temperature checks upon arrival for all children.
If a child is inconsolable, parents will be notified and asked to return to the childcare room to assist the staff.
Please bring your child to the restroom or change diapers prior to drop-in.
Our daily routine is consistent throughout the week, and families may either book 2 hours (10 AM - 12 PM), 4 hours (10 AM - 2 PM) or all day (10 AM - 4 PM). Children who are on-site for 4 hours or the full day must have a packed lunch to eat at noon. In general our daily routine is:
10 AM: Snack and free play
11 AM: Head outside
12 PM: Lunch and story time
1 PM: Rest and quiet time
2 PM: Snack and free play
3 PM Head Outside
4 PM End of Day
We go outside every day, rain or shine! We will either play in our outdoor space next to the building, or take a walk down the Leelanau Trail to Leo Creek Preserve, which has beautiful trails, shallow creek shores, and an expansive garden. Please dress your children in easy on./easy off clothes that can get dirty and appropriate footwear
We ask all children to bring a daypack with diapers or underwear, wipes, extra sets of clothing, extra socks and shoes, and weather appropriate gear. We do not administer medicine under any circumstances.
The childcare room will provide age appropriate toys. For safety and hygienic reasons we ask that you refrain from bringing in your child’s own personal toys.
Certain behaviors among toddlers and preschool aged children will not be allowed in our space. In these circumstances, parents will be notified immediately. These behaviors include but are not limited to biting, hitting, kicking, hair pulling, and inappropriately touching other children in boundary zones. Some shoving and pushing is to be expected. While we acknowledge some of these behaviors are developmentally expected and age specific in group settings, in order to have a peaceful and safe environment for all children we will require you to pick up your child for the rest of the day. We do not offer a tiered approach (for example, first warning, second warning). You will be invited to attend your next scheduled session at the discretion of your age group program leader.
